Welcome to

Rebuilding Hollers Foundation

Featuring the Mountain Heritage High School Construction Technology Program!

We are so excited to sponsor the Honors Carpentry program at our Local High School!

Lead by an incredible Teacher, Mr. Jeremy Dotts.

Mr. Dotts has a passion for teaching his kids real world carpentry skills, that they can use on any job site in their future.

This group of 18 young men have already started the first house, the subfloor is done and walls are going up!

The home will be 16' wide x 33' long + an 8' covered porch will be built like a modular home.

Most of the structure will be built at the facility. The subfloor is already done and set onto the frame that will carry it to the property. Next are the exterior walls, interior walls, rough in, windows and doors.

Once completed the home will be driven with a special permit to the homesite, where a crane will pick the house up and set it onto the foundation. Then the roof will be built on and the electrical and plumbing will be finished out.

Follow along as we make progress everyday and plan to give weekly updates!

Special Thank You to Mr. Jim Swain!

Mr. Swain has poured his heart and soul into creating this program for the last 20 years. With his vision and a group of friends that understood the need for a state of the art high school trade program in our remote section of Western North Carolina this Privately Funded State of the art Facility was built at the High School and operates on the donations of the community and by selling their homes to local families. They have built 16 homes and countless picnic tables, gazebo's & cabinet's since the facility opened.

We are so honored they decided to partner with Rebuilding Hollers Foundation so that we could cover the costs of all the homes being built until all of our neighbors are home in Yancey & Mitchell County.

Together we can do anything!
